Our Charity of the Year 2025!

We are excited to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2025 will be Berkshire Youth. 

Working to provide support, mentoring, assistance and more; Berkshire Youth offer life-changing support to children and young people throughout Berkshire. 

Picked following a vote held by our own employees, we kicked off our new partnership with a launch at the Reading Buses depot on Monday 17 February, where an eye-catching Berkshire Youth branded bus was unveiled which will help advertise and promote awareness for Berkshire Youth over the next 12 months. 

We have always prided ourselves on being an important service to young people, as well as being one of the first bus companies to extend fare discounts to over 16’s; and so we are thrilled to be working with Berkshire Youth as our Charity of the Year.

As part of our charity partnership, Berkshire Youth have been given a bus to have made into their own design. The white and blue branded Berkshire Youth bus is one Reading Buses “generic” buses and will run across their network throughout the next year on whichever route needs it - keep an eye out for it on jet black 1!

The inspiring livery also helps encourage donations to charity by mobile; with details on how to easily donate to the charity featured on both sides of it. 

You’ll be able to donate £5 to the charity by phone simply by texting ‘BYOUTH5’ to 70255. All funds raised from text messages will go towards helping support their essential work in the community. 

We look forward to working together with our employees, customers, friends and families over the next year to help raise a generous sum of money for Berkshire Youth. Be sure to keep an eye out for some of our fundraising events and activities!

join us for the Reading Buses annual open day!

The highly anticipated and always entertaining Reading Buses Open Day will once again return for 2025!

Taking place this year on Sunday 29 June, it’ll once again be the best free day out in Reading, so be sure to add that date to your calendar. More details of the event will be revealed soon. 

All funds raised on this day will go towards helping Berkshire Youth help improve the lives of children and young people!
