evening and Sunday enhancements

Further to the improved timetables introduced on 3 August, we are delighted to announce that there will be further enhancements for routes 2 and 8 from Friday 4 September.

West Berkshire Council are funding some evening and Sunday services on the routes which builds on recent investment by the council to enhance bus services in the area and make them more attractive to customers. 

route 2 - Newbury to Wash Common

Route 2 will see extra evening journeys on Fridays and Saturdays with the last bus back from Newbury Wharf at 11.30pm - which is great for those wanting to socialise a bit later in the town. 

There is also a brand-new Sunday service operating between 8am and 5pm.

route 8 - Newbury to Greenham and Pigeon's Farm

Route 8 will also see later evening journeys on Fridays and Saturdays, with the last bus leaving Newbury Wharf at 10.35pm. 

There will also be a brand-new Sunday service operating between 8.35am and 6pm.
